Dear Health New Zealand,
Please provide the following information:
- the number of operational MRI scanners located within the South Auckland area and field strength (1.5T/3T);
- the number of PET CT scanners within the South Auckland area
the location of each scanner;
- whether each scanner is publicly funded, privately operated, or jointly funded or funded under another arrangement;
- the date each scanner became operational;
- annual MRI scan volumes for each scanner for the past five financial years.
- current waitlist data including average wait list size and waiting times
- scanner utilisation rates (hours/day);
- population served; and
- any planning documents identifying MRI capacity shortfalls or MRI demand projections.
- the number of outsourced MRI scans purchased from private providers each year
- any planned MRI investments or replacements over the next 5 years
