Dear Ministry for Primary Industries,
1) Please provide details (including the datasheet) of the vaccine currently being used to vaccinate native birds in NZ against HPAI (bird flu).
2) Please advise whether this vaccine is exactly the same as the one that was trialled in 2024.
3) Please advise what testing is being used to detect HPAI (bird flu). If PCR testing is being used please advise how many cycles the test is run to and what the cutoff is for a positive test?
