This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Ronald to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Ronald

Dear Ministry of Education,

Under the Official Information Act 1982, I request copies of any documents, reports, briefings, information updates, presentations, frameworks, diagrams, templates, guidance papers, or design documents relating to the curriculum design improvements referred to in METIS 1344254 (Report: Revised curriculum development timelines and approach).

Specifically, I refer to the statement:

"Through working with Dr Ben Jensen from Learning First we have also identified that we need to improve our design to include more detail... We are focusing on this design now with Learning First's support, direction and input. We will update you on this design once completed."

I request:

• copies of any completed curriculum design, curriculum architecture, curriculum framework, design model, curriculum blueprint, or equivalent document developed in response to the issues identified;

• copies of any subsequent reports, briefings, information updates, presentations, or advice provided to the Minister updating her on the completion of that design work;

• copies of any documents describing the purpose, rationale, intended benefits, or expected outcomes of the revised design;

• copies of any documents provided by, received from, or prepared with input from Learning First relating to the revised curriculum design;

• copies of any diagrams, models, logic frameworks, development frameworks, or architecture documents showing how knowledge, progressions, teaching sequences, Understand-Know-Do components, assessment, or curriculum content were intended to interact within the revised design.

If any of the requested material exists in draft and final form, I request the final version relied upon for decision-making.

Yours faithfully,

Ronald

Dear Enquiries National,

I am following up on this OIA request.

The Ministry’s acknowledgement advised that a decision was due on or before 20 July 2026. I have not received either a response or an extension notice.

Could you please confirm:

whether a decision or extension was sent by the due date;
if so, when and to which email address it was sent; and
if not, when the overdue response will be provided.

If a response was previously sent, please resend the original message showing its sending date and time.

For clarity, this follow-up does not alter the statutory due date or indicate agreement to any retrospective extension.

Yours sincerely,
