Kia ora,
OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST: GOODMAN LEDGER PARK PUMP STATION
We refer to your official information request dated 29 May 2026. Our
response is set out below:
We have been given records of nitrate level measurements at the
Ledger-Goodman Wastewater pumping station. I am requesting all
information on why these measurements are taken and any information on
health hazards of these nitrates.
Nitrate level measurements are not carried out at any of our pump
stations, only at wastewater treatment plant discharges. We are therefore
unaware of any measurements of this nature being taken at the
Ledger-Goodman wastewater pump station.
In light of this, we seek clarification on the source of the information
referenced in your request and would appreciate a copy of that material to
assist us in responding.
Please note that your request will need to be clarified or amended before
we can proceed. Any clarification or amendment is treated as a new request
for the purposes of calculating the statutory response timeframe, in
accordance with section 13(7) of the Local Government Official Information
and Meetings Act.

Things to do with this request
- Add an annotation (to help the requester or others)
- Download a zip file of all correspondence (note: this contains the same information already available above).

DOCO left an annotation ()
- When I wrote "we were given" I was referencing an FYI request by Kevin Newlands responded to on 7 May 2026.
- I was in error when I referred to nitrates. The FYI response refers to Nitrogen Dioxide. Therefore, I would like to enquire about Nitrogen Dixode hazards, not nitrate hazards
- The above FYI response also lists particulate levels. What size or size range particulates are being measured. What are the expected particulates comprised of.
