Dear University of Auckland,
The following request applies to the period of 2021-25.
During that time, how many formal complaints of sexual harassment did the University receive from staff members that was allegedly committed by another member of staff?
In how many of the cases of those formal complaints did the University conduct an internal investigation of the complaint?
In how many of the cases of those formal complaints did the University contract an external investigation of the complaint?
In how many of the cases of those formal complaints did the University bring disciplinary charges against the alleged perpetrator(s)?
What was the outcome of those disciplinary proceedings:
In how many was the complaint found to be unsubstantiated?
Was any discipline imposed on the complainant?
In how many was the complaint found to be substantiated?
What was the discipline imposed?
In how many of those cases did the University or any member of staff create an internal record of a notifiable injury, illness, incident, or event?
In how many of those cases did the University or any member of staff notify WorkSafe of a notifiable injury, illness, incident, or event?
In how many of those cases did the University or any member of staff contact Police?

Dear requester,
This email concerns your six requests of this morning (24 April 2026) to
the University of Auckland for information concerning sexual harassment
complaints, and your four requests for information to the University of 18
April, entitled "[1]How does the University make procurement decisions?",
"[2]What is the University spending on consultants?", "[3]The VSPs for
senior management?" and [4]What are the process and criteria for
performance-based salary increases?.
To make a request for official information under the Official Information
Act (OIA), you must meet the eligibility criteria set out in 12(1) of the
OIA

"12 Requests
(1) Any person, being—
(a) a New Zealand citizen; or
(b) a permanent resident of New Zealand; or
(c) a person who is in New Zealand; or
(d) a body corporate which is incorporated in New Zealand; or
(e) a body corporate which is incorporated outside New Zealand but which
has a place of business in New Zealand,— may request a department (for
itself and for a departmental agency hosted by it or an interdepartmental
executive board serviced by it) or interdepartmental venture or Minister
