Dear Kapiti Coast District Council,
I am requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 1982:
1. A summary of all work-related travel involving overnight stays undertaken by the Chief Executive for the period 1 October 2025 to 07 April 2026, including:
- Dates of travel
- Destination (domestic or international)
- General purpose of the travel
2. For each trip identified above, the total cost to the Council, broken down (where available) into:
- Air travel
- Accommodation
- Other travel-related expenses (e.g. meals, ground transport)
3. For any international travel in this period:
- The class of air travel booked (e.g. economy, premium economy, business)
This request is for summary-level information and does not require copies of individual invoices or receipts.
If any part of this request is likely to be refused due to substantial collation or research, I am happy to discuss refining the scope.

expenses from 1 October 2025 to 7 April 2026. Your request will be managed
under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987
(LGOIMA) (the Act). The reference for your records is OIR 2526-356.
We will do our best to get a response to you by 6 May 2026, this being the
statutory 20 working days after your request was received. Please note
this date takes into account the observed Anzac Day holiday (27 April
2026) which is not considered to be a working day under the LGOIMA. If we
were unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an
extension of that timeframe.
If any additional factors come to light which are relevant to your
request, please do not hesitate to contact us so that these can be
considered.
