Currently waiting for a response from Public Service Commission, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).

Dear Public Service Commission,
The following webpage on covid 19 vaccination in workplaces talks about redeployment:
https://web.archive.org/web/202105121412...
"Options/process for those staff who are not vaccinated
Where an employee is not intending to be vaccinated (for any reason), undertake a health and safety risk assessment to determine whether the work can be done safely by non-vaccinated employees.
....
The assessment may determine that the employee cannot perform all of the duties of their current role. In this case, consider options such as (not an exhaustive list):
Offer redeployment to suitable alternative duties within the agency
Offer temporary redeployment to suitable alternative duties in a different agency. Agencies can utilise the Te Kawa Mataaho Workforce Deployment service, via the agencies’ HR Head. Enquires to [email address]
Provide paid special leave for a reasonable time (to be determined based on legal advice)
If other options are being considered, such as leave without pay, please consult with the Public Service Commission in the first instance."
How many employers contacted COVIDredeployment at publicservice.co.nz [COVIDdeployment @publicservice.govt.nz] for redeployment for unvaccinated staff in 2021/2022?
Yours faithfully,
Erika Whittome
