Official Information Act Request
I request copies of any approved records disposal authorities, retention schedules, or recordkeeping guidance that apply to:
• Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand
• Veterans’ Advisory Board records
• Secretariat records supporting statutory veterans’ boards.
Specifically, I request:
1. The relevant disposal authority numbers and schedules covering Veterans’ Affairs records.
2. Any guidance describing the retention period for:
• Veterans’ Advisory Board meeting records
• advice papers or reports produced by the Veterans’ Advisory Board
• policy files relating to veterans’ policy advice.
3. Any recordkeeping standards or instructions issued to NZDF or Veterans’ Affairs relating to the management of Veterans’ Advisory Board records.
If these documents are already publicly available, links to the relevant disposal authorities would be appreciated.

Disposal Authorities (DAs) for Veterans’ Affairs.
You have requested:
“I request copies of any approved records disposal authorities, retention

registered under the New Zealand Defence Force as the controlling public
office, but the disposal coverage is specific to the Veterans’ Affairs.
