Status of and Documents Pertaining to PRA Complaint made in 2014

Nigel Jones made this Official Information request to Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga

The request was successful.

From: Nigel Jones

Dear Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga,

Under the OIA I make the following request regarding a complaint under the Public Records Act made by myself regarding Auckland Transport to [email address] at Thu, 4 Dec 2014 14:48:49 +1300.

To assist with tracking down information (and anticipating you'd use the relevant OIA provisions to withhold their names, I will too), this complaint was handled by people in the following positions:

* Archives NZ Advisor, Advice and Compliance Team
* Manager, Advice & Compliance, Client Capability Directorate
* Archivist/Advisor

My request is of 3 parts:

Part 1
--------

Preferably under urgency, I would like to request any internal tracking numbers for this complaint that may be assigned, and shared with Auckland Transport, the purpose of which so I can make a more informed LGOIMA request with Auckland Transport.

Part 2
--------
1) The current status of the PRA complaint, given that the last communication, dated "Thu, 29 Oct 2015 21:09:20 +0000" stated that the status was:

"Thank you for your email - at the moment, it appears that we did not receive a report though we were advised back in May that the report was in process. I'm following this up and I hope to advise you more conclusively soon."

2) Records and details of all internal communication within Archives NZ regarding this complaint, details on how it was tracked internally, and documents held regarding it.

3) Communications (or attempted communications if there is a belief that an e-mail was not successfully delivered) between myself and Archives NZ regarding this issue - I consider this part of the OIA request and not a Privacy Act request, as long as any e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of myself are properly redacted under OIA 9(2)(a).

4) Records and details of all communication with outside agencies such as Auckland Transport and Auckland Council Archives regarding my complaint.

Part 3
--------

In addition, I'd like to request policy documents/manuals pertaining to the process of handling Public Record Act complaints and breach concerns, both those that would be effective at the time of my complaint, and those effect up to and including now.

Given that you should have my personal details on record, you are welcome to clarify my position regarding p2(3) privately, but I do request that documents where possible be delivered to FYI for transparency.

Yours faithfully,

Nigel Jones

Dear Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga,

Apologies, I would like to note that my intent with Part 1 was to also include tracking numbers that Auckland Transport or other agencies may have assigned this request once contacted, and known by Archives NZ. I'd appreciate if this could be noted when handling this part of my request.

Yours faithfully,

Nigel Jones
