Subject: Official Information request - Healthy Waters commitment to NWC
Bid Kumeu Resilience Toolkit proposal

 

 

Dear Auckland Council,

At its February meeting the RLB heard a deputation from the NorthWest
Country BID asking for additional funding that said Healthy Waters had
committed $99,000 towards a BID project to produce a Business Flooding
Toolkit in partnership with Healthy Waters. (see presentation)

Please provide all documents, including email or text communications, you
hold in relation to the project, the partnership proposal, who initiated
the project, who in Healthy Waters approved the funding, and why it was
approved.

Please also provide any documents you hold referring to the drainage
improvements for Kumeu to manage flood risk, funded by a targeted rate on
landowners under the previous Rodney County Council, and why those
improvements were not proceeded with (either by the Rodney District
Council or Auckland Council following their replacement of the earlier
County Council).
