Dear University of Auckland,
Kia ora,
I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982 regarding Fitness to Practise (FtP) outcomes for students entering health or health-related professional programmes.
Specifically, I request the following information:
1. For the period 2019–2024, the number of students who were prevented or barred from commencing a health or health-related professional programme due to a Fitness to Practise concern identified prior to or at the point of programme entry.
2. For any such cases, anonymised and aggregated information on:
* the stage at which the Fitness to Practise concern was identified;
* whether the FtP concern was considered resolved, ongoing, or paused at the time the decision was made;
* the range of outcomes applied (e.g. delayed entry, conditions imposed, requirement to remediate, exclusion).
I am not seeking any personally identifying information. Aggregated or anonymised data is sufficient.
If any part of this request is refused, I ask that you specify the grounds for refusal under the Act and release any information that can be reasonably provided.
I am happy to receive the information electronically and am available to clarify the scope of this request if required.
Yours faithfully,
H
