Request for undersground services map(s) of the Wellington Growth Spine

Tony Randle made this Official Information request to Wellington City Council

The request was partially successful.

From: Tony Randle

Dear Wellington City Council,

I am interested in the ongoing development of public transport along the Wellington Growth Spine (i.e. from Johnsonville via Wellington CBD to Kilbernie (and Newtown). A key issue for implementing some PT options is the relocation of underground services. This is likely to include major conduits for power, drinking water, sewage, storm water and telecommunications but there may be others.

1) Can I have a copy of the map or maps that show the major underground services along the Growth Spine between the Johnsonville and the Wellington CBD roads (including Old Hutt Road and Thorndon Quay) ?

2) Can I have a copy of the map or maps that show the major underground services along the Growth Spine between the Kilbernie and the Wellington CBD roads (including Kent and Cambridge Terraces as well as the Basin Reserve) ?

3) Can I have a copy of the map or maps that show the major underground services along the Growth Spine between the Newtown and the Wellington CBD roads (including Adelaide Road and Taranaki Street) ?

4) Can I have a copy of the map or maps that show the major underground services under the Wellington CBD roads (including Lambton Quay, Willis Street, Victoria Street, Wakefield Street, Manners Street, Cuba Street North, Courtney Place) ?

If this information is available in electronic form, I would prefer it was provided in its complete and original electronic format. Aldo I would prefer that all correspondence be undertaken via the FYI web site.

Yours faithfully,

Tony Randle

Response states that the WCC only holds some of the requested information. Some information held by private companies but advice on who they are and contact details provided which is great. Thanks
