Under the Official Information Act 1982, I request the following information regarding the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART) project (Reference: MOE29225):

A full copy of Cabinet Minute CAB-25-MIN-0031.

A copy of the Cabinet Social Wellbeing Committee (SWC) paper that preceded this minute.

Any Treasury reports, Aides-Memoire, or Briefings provided to the Minister or the Committee regarding the financial case or budget drawdown for this specific project as noted in the aforementioned minute.

office on 13 January 2026 requesting the following information:

the Minister or the Committee regarding the financial case or budget
drawdown for this specific project as noted in the aforementioned minute.

 

The information requested in part 3 of your request is more closely
connected to the Ministry of Education (The Ministry), and would usually
be transferred to the Ministry under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act.
However, on this occasion I have not transferred this request, as I am
aware they have received a request for the same information from you
directly. You can expect to received a response from the Ministry directly
on this part of your request.
