From: Peter Ituma
Dear New Zealand Police,
Under the Official Information Act 1982, please provide the following:

A simple breakdown of those requests by date (YYYY-MM-DD) and short subject line (e.g. “McSkimming”, “device searches”, “communications with Crown prosecutors”, “other”). If practicable, please provide the number of requests that explicitly reference “McSkimming” or the IPCA report.
If Police publish a running OIA log or a public statistics table that will be updated to include these requests, please provide the link or location of that publication.
If you refuse any part of this request, please cite the specific OIA provision you rely on and release the remainder.

Police advises that the information sought to fulfil your request (as
currently worded) would likely have a significant and unreasonable impact
on Police’s ability to carry out its other operations.
Therefore, as your request currently stands, Police is likely to refuse
your request under section 18(f) of the OIA, as the information requested
cannot be made available without substantial collation or research.
In accordance with section 18B of the OIA, Police invites you to refine
your request to enable Police to work within a more manageable scope.
Please respond by midday 27 November 2025, so that we can consider your
refinement in our response to your request.
Please note that under section 15 of the OIA, any clarification or
amendment made to a request within seven working days of its receipt may
be treated as a new request, and the response timeframe may restart from
the date of refinement.
Ngā mihi
