Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
I request the following information relating to water leaks, plumbing failures, or water-damage-related maintenance across all properties that are owned, managed, leased, or otherwise occupied by MBIE, including—where applicable—offices, regional premises, storage facilities, archives, or co-located service centres:
The date, address, and facility/building name for each recorded incident involving water leaks, plumbing failures, burst pipes, roof or ceiling leaks, or other forms of water ingress, between 1 January 2019 and 12 October 2025.
A brief description of each incident and, where applicable, the identified cause (e.g., infrastructure degradation, weather event, accidental damage, etc.).
The type of work undertaken (e.g., temporary repair, full replacement, waterproofing, plumbing upgrade, etc.).
The contractor name or internal business unit responsible for the work.
The total cost of each repair, broken down by labour, materials, and associated fees (where available).
Whether the cost was covered by insurance, or by MBIE’s operational or capital budgets.

Information Act 1982, the following:
I request the following information relating to water leaks, plumbing
failures, or water-damage-related maintenance across all properties that
are owned, managed, leased, or otherwise occupied by MBIE, including—where
applicable—offices, regional premises, storage facilities, archives, or
co-located service centres:
The date, address, and facility/building name for each recorded incident
involving water leaks, plumbing failures, burst pipes, roof or ceiling
leaks, or other forms of water ingress, between 1 January 2019 and 12
October 2025.

We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible, and no
later than 10/11/2025, being 20 working days after the day your request
was received. If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will
notify you of an extension of that timeframe. If you have any enquiries
