Tçnâ koe James,

Thank you for your information request. Your reference number is IR-01-25-33929.

The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 21 November 2025.

This extension is necessary because consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.

You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not satisfied with Police’s response to your request. You can find more information at http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/make-....

Kia ora James

I apologise for the lateness of the response to your OIA (IR-01-25-33929). Unfortunately, it is still being drafted and it will then progress through our internal consultation process. I am unable to confirm a release date at this stage, but I can assure you we are endeavouring to get this to you as soon as practicable.
