I refer to your request of 14 August 2025. The University's response
follows.

 

"1. The GPA for every successful general graduate applicant for the MBChB
program. e.g., if 30 students were offered places in the program, what was
the 30 different GPA's?

2. The MMI score for every successful general graduate applicant for the
MBChB program. e.g., if 30 students were offered places in the program,
what was the 30 different MMI scores?

3. The UCAT score for every successful general graduate applicant for the
MBChB program. e.g., if 30 students were offered places in the program,
what was the 30 different UCAT scores?

4. If possible, link every successful GPA with the corresponding MMI and
UCAT score for the MBChB program. e.g., if one of the successful GPA's was
8.5, what was the MMI score and UCAT for this particular GPA."

 

Your requests for these scores are refused under section 9(2)(a), to
protect the privacy of the relevant applicants. We note the University, in
its 2022 response you have linked to below, created statistics for the
requested data in the form of ad-hoc bands and provided these. The OIA
does not require agencies to create information in response to requests.
Request 3 is also refused under section 9(2)(ba)(i) and (ii), to protect
information subject to an obligation of confidence. You have the right to
make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with the
University's response.
