Please provide the following information regarding applicants to the MBChB
programme for 2024 entry.
For each entry scheme (General, RRAS, UTAS, MAPAS, International), please
provide the following data, where applicable. Please provide the FY and
Graduate data separately where possible. "GPA" refers to the GPA score
used in the final ranking of applicants.
1. Number of applicants (both FY and Graduate)
2. Number of applicants offered interviews (both FY and Graduate)
3. GPA cutoff for interview offer (both FY and Graduate)
4. Number of seats available
5. Number of seats filled (both FY and Graduate)
6. Median GPA for successful applicants (both FY and Graduate)
7. Lower quartile GPA for successful applicants (both FY and Graduate)
8. Upper quartile GPA for successful applicants (both FY and Graduate)
9. Lowest GPA for successful applicants (both FY and Graduate)
10. Highest GPA for unsuccessful applicants (both FY and Graduate)

Dear Neeraj
I refer to your request of 12 December 2023. As consultations necessary
to make a decision on this request are such that a response cannot
reasonably be given within the original time limit, the University has
extended the time limit for your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the
OIA. The new maximum time limit for the University’s response is 21
February 2024; we will respond to your request as soon as reasonably
practicable. You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if
you are dissatisfied with this extension.

The requested information is attached. Note that the number of applicants
statistic provided is the number of applicants considered for interview
invitations, and so excludes incomplete applications or ineligible
applicants.

information about successful/unsuccessful applicants as the 2024 MBChB
admissions process had not been finalized. This part of your request is
refused under section 18(g) of the OIA.

The information requested is attached, subject to the following:
· The University does not calculate standard deviations separately
for MAPAS, Students with Refugee Backgrounds, Low Socio-Economic
Background, or Students with Disabilities, for GPA, MMI or UCAT scores.
The OIA does not require us to create this information. This part of your
request is refused under section 18(g) of the OIA.
Note that the statistics provided for “interviewed applicants” are for
those students who were interviewed and proceeded to final ranking for
offers of place, and so excludes any applicants who were interviewed but
did not proceed to final ranking due to ineligibility or another reason.
You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with the University’s response.
