Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).   

This correspondence is to advise you that the Council needs to extend the
due date of your response for 15 working days, pursuant to section
14(1)(a) of the LGOIMA, as the request is for a large quantity of official
information which necessitates a search through a large quantity of
information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably
interfere with the operations of the local authority. 

For this reason, you can expect a response from the Council no later than
​25 September.

 

You have the right, by way of complaint under section 27(3) of the LGOIMA,
to request an investigation and review of the Council’s decision to extend
by the Ombudsman. Information about how to make a complaint is available
