Thank you for making a request for official information. 

It isn’t feasible for ACC to gather all the information requested

Information about ACC’s engagements with PwC from 1 January 2014 until 1
May 2025 is not collected or stored in a readily retrievable format. This
means we would need to search a vast quantity of information in several
different systems and, as such, answering your request would impair the
efficient administration of ACC. 

We are inviting you to amend your request by narrowing its scope,
otherwise we may refuse parts of it due to substantial research and
collation. 

However, ACC has made information about its contracts available each year
in its written responses to the Education and Workforce Committee, and
previously, Transport and Industrial Relations Select Committee. Since
2014, ACC has reported on the details of consultants such as PwC including
the spend, the start and end date of the contract, and whether the
contract was an open or closed tender.

can copy and paste these into your browser.

Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,

Under the official information act 1982, I request the following:

1) A list of all contracts or engagements between ACC and PwC
(PricewaterhouseCoopers) from 1 january 2014 until 1 may 2025. Including:
- the purpose and scope of each engagement
- the total cost of each engagement
- the contract duration or period
- the method of procurement (open tender, closed, direct tender, etc)

2) Copies of final reports, recommendations, or substantive deliverables
produced by PwC under these engagements, where not subject to commercial
confidentiality.

3) Any evaluations, reviews, or post implementation assessments conducted
by ACC on the effectiveness or outcomes of PwC work.

4) Total expenditure by ACC on PwC consulting services, broken down by
financial period over the period January 1 2014 - May 1 2025.

If any part of this review is likely to be refused, I would appreciate the
opportunity to narrow the scope of this request.
