Critical Path Project Plan for upgrading the Picton Rail Enabled Ferry Terminal

Dear KiwiRail,

Dear KiwiRail,

This is an Official Information Act request.

Please provide the Critical Path Analysis Gantt chart for moving upgrading the Picton rail enabled ferry terminal and related infrastructure to support the operation of the new ferries it has been announced will be purchased this year and operational by 2029..

It would be appreciated if the data was presented in two formats, as follows;

1) A multi-page pdf Gantt Chart, either A3 or A2 size, graphically showing the durations of all activities and the dependencies between them AND

2) An Excel spreadsheet of the data represented in the Gantt Chart that lists the following for each Activity
- ID
- Name
-Duration
- Scheduling method (asap, alap etc)
- Predecessor tasks
- Successor tasks
- Free slack

It is appreciated that this plan will have activities longer than 3 months. Therefore, for all such tasks can the assumptions or relevant data supporting the duration allowed for the task please also be provided.

Thank you for your query dated May 8, 2025
 
Ferry Holdings Limited is currently working with KiwiRail, CentrePort
Limited, and Port Marlborough New Zealand Limited to confirm the design
requirements and commercial arrangements. 
 
Ferry Holdings is declining to release the requested information on the
following two grounds. 

* The information requested in Questions 1 and 2,  where it does not yet
exist is being declined under Section 19 of the Official Information 
Act ,
* Where the information does exist it is being declined under Section 9
of the Official Information Act due to the release of commercial
sensitivities of the  information requested and the potential impact
on the completion of the commercial contracts .
