I'd like to acknowledge receipt of your official information request for
the general arrangement plans for the two Interislander ferries as noted
below.

 

We received your request on 5 April 2026, and will endeavour to respond to
your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 5 May
2026, i.e. the 20 working days after the day your request was received.

If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of
an extension of that timeframe.

Currently, I’m checking with the team if we hold this information (I note
the Arahanga was pre-KiwiRail days retiring in 2001) and will come back to

Dear KiwiRail,
I would like to make a request to obtain General Arrangement plans for the
ex Interislander ferries "Arahanga" and "Arahura"

Im hoping to obtain plans for all decks of both ships, along with a
profile/rigging plan

I plan to use these for 3d modelling, and for research so I can learn more
about these ships.

For Arahura, I am interested in getting as-built plans from before her
2008 refit to comply with new SOLAS regulations put into effect around
that time

our current records.

We are willing to have a look through our archived records for these
though – just be aware this could take a little while to complete though,
so please be patient while we complete do this.
