This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Geoff. Waterhouse to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Geoff. Waterhouse
Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
I understand that NZTA has taken over the issuing of speed camera tickets from NZ Police
I wish to know the following
1)How many speed camera tickets have been issued to organisations/limited companies during the last 10 years or for as long as records are available
2)How much was collected in fines in respect of speed camera tickets issued to organisations/limited companies during the last 10 years or for as long as records are available
3)How many speed camera tickets have been disputed/taken to defended hearings by organisations/limited companies
4)Where can I find details of the cases
5)How may speed camera tickets have been issued using pseudo driver licences to enforce the tickets
6) Now that NZTA is issuing the tickets, have the records of all previous camera, tickets issued by the cops, been transferred to NZTA
7)If the answer to "6" above is yes, I require all details of those speed camera tickets
Yours faithfully,
Geoff. Waterhouse

Partially transferring the request you made under the Official Information
Act 1982
Thank you for your email below requesting information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act).
The information you have requested relating to safety cameras that NZ
Police are currently enforcing or that were enforced by NZ Police before
transferring to NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is more closely
connected with the functions of NZ Police than with NZTA. NZTA will
provide a response for those safety cameras where it is enforcing speed
limits from the dates we started enforcing. Therefore, NZTA is partially
transferring your request to NZ Police under section 14 of the Act.
The time limit for their response to you is 20 working days from 4 March
2025 so you can expect a response from NZ Police on or before 1 April
2025.
