List of road names that make up State Highways
Paul Rands made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
The request was partially successful.

Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
Thank you for your time. I operate a road enthusiast / information site here in Australia called Expressway, it's URL is: https://www.expressway.online/
It features photos, history and information about numbered routes around Australia, but also includes New Zealand as well.
I am in the middle of updating the international section, and I am hoping for a list of the roads that make up the state highways around NZ, to help put together info on each route. Here in Australia, most road authorities have a list of declared / classified roads and shows the route and road taken, etc. See https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/system/... for an example. And I was hoping you might have something similar I could work from. When I established the NZ section on the site, I ended up zoomed in on Google Maps, and following the routes end to end, which as you can imagine, time consuming and prone to errors.
Basically what I'm hoping you can provide is a spreadsheet or a PDF with the following data please:
State Highway number.
Start and Finish point / terminus, with the name of the road junction, or landmark and also town / city / suburb, if applicable.
The local road / street names that make up each State Highway.
There used to be a road enthusiast site or 2 for NZ a few years ago, but they've all been taken down. Most sites that are similar are mostly US or UK. Myself and a couple of others are the main people who maintain similar Australian based sites.
Thanks in advance!
Yours faithfully,
Paul Rands

Kia ora, thanks for your response. I appreciate your time in replying.
The map link provided does not allow exporting of data to a CSV or spreadsheet or text file. The request form terms and conditions for Open Data National Road Centreline does not allow their data to be published online in a public setting. So both sources are not any more useful than scrolling around for several hours manually compiling road names from several online map websites.
In a previous information request on 01 June 2022, another user was able to obtain a spreadsheet with the data they were looking for, and I was hoping for a similar response. Please refer to: https://fyi.org.nz/request/19273-list-of...
Thanks in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Paul Rands
