Te Hiku Region Organisation Chart
D. Greenhalgh made this Official Information request to Fire and Emergency New Zealand
Currently waiting for a response from Fire and Emergency New Zealand, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).
From: D. Greenhalgh
Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,
Please provide me with an organisational chart for the Te Hiku fire region. If possible, please include in the chart:
- The chain of command from the Regional Commander down to brigade members in both urban and rural brigades.
- The roles involved in command and control of rural firefighting
Please note I am not seeking the names of the people currently holding these roles, just the titles of the roles and how they relate to each other in the regional hierarchy.
I understand this is an operational document, so if any information is deemed not to be exempt from release, I ask this be redacted as opposed to the document being withheld in full, if possible.
Yours faithfully,
D. Greenhalgh

Fire and Emergency has received your request on 3 January 2025 for the Te
Hiku Region Organisation Chart.
In order to understand what information you seek, can you please clarify
whether your request is for the:
> Rank hierarchy / structure for the Te Hiku region; or the
> Corporate structure, which will also include positions that are not
ranked.
The Organisation Chart details the corporate structure however the Chain
of Command is shown in the rank hierarchy.
Once you have considered the above, we would appreciate your reply as soon
as possible. If no reply is received, Fire and Emergency will consider
your request on its original merit.
Ngā mihi,
Information Requests Team

Dear Information Requests Team,
Thanks for getting back to me; I am requesting the rank hierarchy document, not the corporate structure one.
Many thanks,

Dear Official Information Requests,
I can confirm that I do not require the names and contact details of any staff or volunteers, simply the chart with the rank titles and chain of command.
Yours sincerely,
