Re: OIA 105927 please provide the URL for access to IRT (Information Request Tool)

I note the DNS lookup for svbpmps.police.govt.nz fails. I assume the tool domain has been renamed to something much more memorable, however, I also see DNS fails on the obvious irt.police.govt.nz as well as info, tool, infotool, and inforeqtool.poice.govt.nz etc.

What is the correct domain or URL for Police to access the IRT please?

Reason: I understand that the tool is not intended to be available to me; but I understand the NZ Police are (for the purpose of upholding the law efficiently and quickly) thought to be able to access the tool from any machine in NZ, and since I also wish for the Police to have the right tools to do their jobs, wish this to be true, sans-VPN on an unmodified web browser, such as Firefox or Konqueror.

Perhaps not using a VPN is outdated and the tool now requires access from within a firewall? If this is the case then I would like to know if true. I assume this VPN is loaded onto all Police mobile phones and computers is that true?

Since I could probably eventually discover the domain myself by performing a long-running brute-force discovery attack against police.govt.nz and the ns1.police.govt.nz name servers consider the domain or IP address to be "public information" and available to me, and not unnecessarily obfuscated from me, and definitely not hidden from me, is that true?

Finally, is there any API for public access to unit level rea-time or frequently updated data regarding Missing Children?

PS The "Missing Children API" subject of my final question is touched upon on this Stack Overflow that I posted: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7915... so you can see that I am aware that it may be INTERPOL who is the holder of the information, and while INTERPOL is not a part of the NZ government, I would assume the NZ Police have a section that interfaces with INTERPOL and therefore, this police section could be the a potential holder of requests about missing children that are not citizens of NZ but that are suspected to have been trafficked here, or are relevant to this request (final question about Missing Children API) in some way, and thus included in my OIA.

I am seeking to create an animated visualisation of missing children data.
