Number of prosecutions for smacking since July 2012.
Alan Corbett made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was refused by New Zealand Police.
From: Alan Corbett
Dear Attorney-General,
Following the enactment of the Crimes (Substituted Section 59) Amendment Act on June 22, 2007, the impact of the law was monitored by the Police until June 2012. In all 11 reviews were conducted over a period of 5 years.
In the final review by the Police, it was stated that there were “... a total of eight prosecutions for a 'smacking' event since the June 2007 law change.”

My question simply requests data on the number of prosecutions for a 'smacking' event since the final review was published i.e from July 2012 to date.
Yours faithfully,
Alan Corbett
