Evidence of diligence, legal qualifications, PEB Meeting
Vanessa Sinclair made this Official Information request to Waimate Centennial School
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Waimate Centennial School should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Vanessa Sinclair
Dear Waimate Centennial School,
As indicated in you letter to me dated 22/08/24, please provide details of the due diligence the board believes has been carried out with regard to (1) supporting this event and (2) its consideration of my objection.
Please also provide details about the parliamentary acts cited in your letter (section 127 of the Education and Training Act 2020, and the Privacy Act 2020). Specifically, I would like to know who suggested and approved those citations, any legal qualifications held or training completed by those people, and the intention behind those citations. I'm sure this will all have been fully documented in the meeting minutes but I request that here, just in case those details are missing from the record.
Please also provide minutes of the PEB meeting, and an explanation as to why objections were kept from the public.
Many thanks
Vanessa Sinclair

Dear Waimate Centennial School,
Following up my OIA request, I have not yet received the minutes from the PEB meeting in which my initial objection was considered. Feel free to redact names as you see fit, but please supply the minutes as requested.
I have also not received the requested evidence of the due diligence performed in assessing the use of adult entertainment in school fundraising.
This request is now overdue.
Yours faithfully,
Vanessa Sinclair
