Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,
Can you please provide the following details on the current (and future) build programme for large crew cab rural appliances (currently based upon an Isuzu FSS550):
- current contracted appliance builder, duration of contract, total number of units built and delivered to date and the remainder to be delivered under the contract;
- capabilities of the appliance including: tank capacity; pump make/type specifications and performance, including outlet numbers, drafting capability, pump and roll capacity and hose reel capabilities; locker capacity/volume and carriage of breathing apparatus (BA).

Can you also please provide details on any build programme for 4x4 Type 1 appliances, including:
- Capabilities of current Volvo 4x4 Type 1 appliance including: tank capacity, pump make/type and capabilities, locker capacity, crew capacity.
- Status of current Volvo 4x4 Type 1 appliance - is it a one-off concept vehicle, prototype, or a first of production?
- if applicable, timeframe for decisions on future build of 4x4 Type1 appliances and details on likely build numbers, chassis selection and appliance builder.
