Dear Ministerial Services,
My OIA-2024-2752 refers

HQNZDF Chief of Staff Air Commodore AJ Woods responded to the subject OIA on dated 08 Aug 2024. The response stated in part, "Internal delegations from the Chief of Defence Force are not yet complete and the NZDF operates under the delegation authorities in place under the 1954 and 1966 Regulations and the 1985 Royal Warrants."

The progress of my client's complaint re long service awards, is in part dependant upon the CDF's internally delegated authority. I note that 10 months has elapsed since my inquiry and it is my understanding the CDF has not yet completed/authorised the stated internal delegations?

I stand to be corrected however if true, and subject to your response, my intention will be to take this matter up with the Ombudsman.
