I am emailing to follow up on your OIA request OIA2324-1097.

You have requested:

““Please supply all communications with Axiell that relate to the
descriptions of the Archway database and/or the data that was intended to
become part of the Collections Search database”

On 25 June 2024, we emailed requesting clarification of the word
descriptions. On 3 July 2024, we informed you that we were interpreting
“descriptions” to mean technical descriptions of the Archway database and
the data that was intended to become part of the Collections Search
database. We have not received any response from you.

We have identified over 2000 documents that may or may not be in scope of
your request per the definition above. At this stage we have assessed the
work needed to assess this documentation in order to collate the in-scope
information as approximately 166 hours, or just over four weeks, for one
 person to fulfil.

This would interfere with the day to day statutory operations at Te Rua
Mahara and would delay other high priority work.

The cost of the resource required would not be reasonable to pass on to
you as it would cost over $6000, and neither fixing a charge or an
extension of the timeframe for delivery of the information would reduce
the interference on other high priority work in order for the request to
be delivered in a reasonable time.

For these reasons, it is likely this request constitutes substantial
collation or research and may be refused under section 18(f) of the OIA.

If you are able to narrow the scope we can reassess whether we can fulfil
 your request.

Please let us know by cob 12 July 2024.

Please feel free to contact [1][email address] if you would like to
 discuss further.
