What improvements have been made to Collections Search since its launch in Feb 2022?

P. Moore made this Official Information request to Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for P. Moore to read a recent response and update the status.

From: P. Moore

Dear Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga,

The press statement by the Chief Archivist Anahera Morehu on 16 November 2022 states:
"The Department of Internal Affairs is aware there have been performance issues with Archives NZ’s Collections Search tool since it went live in February 2022. We remain committed to improving the Collections Search.

The contract with our provider Axiell includes maintaining and continually improving the Collections system. We meet with them regularly so we can work towards making those much-needed improvements."

Given your contract includes "continually improving" the system, I'd like to know:
1. A list of what problems users have identified.
2. What specific improvements have actually been made to the system since February, up until you discovered security and privacy issues on 11 November 2022?

Yours faithfully,
P. Moore
