Department of Internal Affairs

Good morning,

Thank you for your enquiry. The information you have requested is not held by the Department of Internal Affairs and our functions are not related to tax or finance services.

I consulted with the Inland Revenue Department regarding a transfer of your enquiry and they advised:
" This is a request for tax advice rather than a request for Official Information so we wouldn't be able to provide a meaningful response as we are unable to provide tax advice. Really, they need to get independent advice from a tax professional.

I invite you to seek independent tax advice from an accountant or financial advisor. You may also be able to get free advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau: https://www.cab.org.nz/find-a-cab/contac...
