Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA):

 

Can you please let us know the next citizenship ceremony starting from
May?

 

Staff have confirmed that the ceremony dates which have been set so far
are;

o 22 May
o 18 June
o 22 July

 

Please note that while these ceremonies are organised by the Council, the
Council is not responsible for allocating candidates to ceremony dates,
this is the decision of the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA). These
ceremonies are by invitation only, with Invitations sent to new citizens
by the DIA. If you are seeking information regarding when you will be
assigned to a date, you can do so by contacting the DIA call centre: phone
0800 22 51 51.

 

You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review our
decision. Complaints can be sent by email to

Publication of responses to LGOIMA requests

Please note: our LGOIMA responses may be published on the Christchurch
City Council website a month after they have been responded to, with
