Kia ora Alissa,

Thank you for your request for official information for:

"Please provide all communication including emails, memos, reports and
meeting minutes relating to limiting or banning overtime amongst clinical
staff, including any communication with Ministers or DHBs/regions from
September 2023 to present"

At this point, it appears that responding to your request would require
substantial collation and research. Before we make a decision on this, are
you able to refine the scope of your request? It would be substantial
collation to bring together all communication including emails, memos,
reports and meeting minutes related to limiting overtime amongst clinical
staff. I should note that if this has been communicated to you as a ban,
this is not the case.

Please note, under section 15 of the Official Information Act 1982, any
clarification or amendment to a request sought within seven days after the
date it is received may be treated as a new request and the time limit for
the response restarted.

We look forward to receiving your response.

Tçnâ koe Alissa,

Thank you for your email asking for the following information under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):

“Please provide all communication including emails, memos, reports and
meeting minutes relating to limiting or banning overtime amongst clinical
staff, including any communication with Ministers or DHBs/regions from
September 2023 to present”.

This email is to let you know that Health NZ needs more time to make a
decision on your request.

The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to 5 June 2024.

This extension is required because the consultation required to make a
decision on your request is such that a proper response cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.

If you have any questions, please contact us
at [1][email address]

If you are not happy with this extension, you have the right to make a
complaint to the Ombudsman. Information about how to do this is available
at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or by phoning 0800 802 602.
