We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible, and in

Kia ora Abishek,
I am writing to follow up on the request you have made under the Official
Information Act.
As the request is currently worded, we do not expect to find any
information that falls within scope of the request, as no formal business
case or concept papers for an EV charging network have been prepared by
MoT.
To date, the government’s general approach to EV charging infrastructure
has been to support the market to deliver a charging network by addressing
regulatory and coordination barriers, and providing co-investment through
the [1]Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority’s contestable funds.
Noting the above, you may wish to clarify your request. If you do choose
to clarify your request, it would also be useful to understand what time
period you are interested in (e.g. since the current Government was sworn
in, or looking back over previous Governments).
Please note, any clarification or amendment of a request is considered to
be a new request for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory
timeframe for response—see section 15(1AA) of the Official Information
Act.
Ngâ mihi nui,
Emma Wardle ([2]she/her)
