You asked - Could you please let me know if the rebuild of the Napier to
Wairoa line can be paid for through an insurance claim – and while the
quantum of any insurance claim is commercially sensitive, the basis answer
is no.

 

The attached newsletter, sent to local stakeholders, notes that
consideration from the Government will be required before decisions on the
rebuild are made.
