'No Dogs Allowed' Signs at Taumarunui New Cemetery
J.Norton made this Official Information request to Ruapehu District Council
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ruapehu District Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: J.Norton
Dear Ruapehu District Council
Noting that:
Recently a "no dogs allowed" sign was attached to the entrance signs at both entry points to Taumarunui New Cemetery.
1- Are on leash dogs prohibited in Taumarunui New Cemetery?
2- Who authorized installation of the "No Dogs Allowed" signs and how much did this cost?
3- If Dogs are Prohibited from the Taumarunui New cemetery when was this public space designated by Council resolution as prohibited to dogs and publicly notified?
4- Does the Ruapehu district council intend to prohibit leashed dogs in any other public spaces in the future?
Yours faithfully,
J.Norton.
