I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.

I would like to kindly request a recent copy of the "Auckland Unitary Plan" in a machine-readable format such as XML, CSV, or any similar format that can be easily processed by computer software.

This information is already available in PDF format on the Auckland Council website: https://unitaryplan.aucklandcouncil.govt...

This request is for the same data in a different format.

Furthermore, if this data is already publicly available, I would greatly appreciate it if you could direct me to the relevant source or platform where I may access the information.

Thank you for your information request dated 3 November 2023, for
information about Auckland Unitary Plan text in a format other than PDF.

 

In response to your request, I consulted with the council’s Plans and
Places department to provide relevant information.

  

I have been advised that the Auckland Unitary Plan (AUP) text is prepared
in Microsoft Word and converted to portable document format (PDF) for
public viewing on the Auckland Council website. Only schedules 1 to 14 of
the AUP are converted to Microsoft Excel. Please let us know if you would
like a copy of schedules 1-14 in Microsoft Excel format. The remaining AUP
text is not held in any other format than Microsoft Word.

 

The decision by Auckland Council to release the information contained in
this response was made by John Duguid, General Manager, Plans and Places,
Chief Planning Office.
