Dear Auckland Council,
In light of the NZ Herald article reporting on the Auditor General to investigate the involvement of Auckland Council's involvement in the Westgate Centre Development, I noted that an independent report was given to Auckland Council in 2012 after "allegations from a senior partner at law firm Meredith Connell, Chris Moore" into that development.
[She (Chris Fletcher) raised the issue in 2011, leading to the council obtaining an independent report on the allegations from a senior partner at law firm Meredith Connell, Chris Moore.
The report, completed in April 2012, has not been made public.]

My question and request are the following:
1) Why was the independent report not made public when it concerned a public authority and that public authority using public money?
2) Can the report be now released into the public domain given the high public interest of the Westgate Centre Development for which NZRPG and Auckland Council are involved.
