Dear New Zealand Police,

Under the Official Information Act I request information on the following:

Has NZ Police been requested to test for drug use on the Ranfurly Shield.

Please provide all correspondence between NZ Police with NZ Rugby and Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union on the Ranfurly Shield or drug tests relating to it. Please provide all test results and what if any tests were undertaken.

Given the public nature of what appears to be drug use, did the police under take their own investigation, if so please provide all results and what tests were undertaken.

It seems a bit of a cope out that NZ Rugby can undertake their "own investigation" which is not subject to impartial justice system.
