I have Still Not Recevied My Records Request or Information Regarding Mr Lewis Verduyn's Inquest and Handwritten Notes

C A Mattheiss made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice

Ministry of Justice did not have the information requested.

From: C A Mattheiss

Dear Ministry of Justice,

Mr Sione Fififta was to provide me with Lewis Verduyn's full records for his Death Inquest by Coronial Services but he failed to do this. I have asked for these records for over 6 months. I also asked for them to be sent to me in the original form they were initially sent to me and also to be password protected, preferably the same password. I was told by Mr Fifita that they would be sent a different way than how I requested them. This causes me a problem. This is because these records are a few hundred pages in length. I am not a charity and I do not have all the time in the world to go through every page of all these records. I have some of these records but not all of them because they accidentally got deleted from my email. I need them sent in the original form they were delivered to me so I can check that they are fully complete and nothing is missing and that I can cross-check them with my already existing records.

I believe waiting 6 months for these and the ongoing abuses by the Coronail Services workers to get them is unreasonable. Not everyone is to be a saint to get their records request fulfilled. I have to have this records request fulfilled and I am tired of waiting while the system plays unethical games of power abuses with me for me to get them.

I will make one last final attempt to get these records and then this matter will go to the High Court as a discovery records request.

I require Lewis Verduyn's records re-sent to me in the original form as emails from Mrs Lauren Thompson's email and for them to be password protected.

My second request keeps being pushed off and then I am told that the answer is delayed for whatever reason. New Zealand operates as a legal fiction. I require Lewis Verduyn's handwritten notes returned to me that were taken from me by the New Zealand Police who promised me they would return them to me after being examined. They made a promise and I handed them to them based on this promise only. They need to fulfil this promise because they verbally consented to me they would return them. This is an obligation for them to return them and not a request from me to have to fight to get them back from the Ministry of Justice who has no use of them other than to be controlling and oppressive to me.

You have 10 days to get these records and notes to me. I was promised they would be sent last Friday but this never happened. The words of Civil Servants in New Zealand, whether verbal or in writing, appear to be unreliable and false.

There appear to be a lot of practices of misogyny against women who make Official Information Act requests in New Zealand as if we are second or third-class citizens.

I require confirmation of my re-request for emails with documents in their original form and also the handwritten notes to be returned to me under the Law of Obligation by the Police.

Cordially,
