Financial redress paid by NZ Police following police action or prosecution

S.I made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

The request was successful.

From: S.I

Dear New Zealand Police,

Please provide a breakdown for the last 5 years of financial redress / compensation / negotiated settlement payments made by NZ Police following police conduct such as negligence, malfeasance, abuse of power on official duties such as, but not limited to, undertaking search warrants, arrest warrants, warrantless searches & arrests, interacting with the public, and problematic prosecutions, for example - failing to prosecute, malicious prosecution, issues with disclosure, vexatious prosecution and so forth.

This would include civil cases where BORA breaches have been litigated.

A brief description of why a payment was made, and the amount paid would be great if possible.

I am a New Zealand citizen residing in Auckland my entire life so I am more than eligible to request this information.

Thanks.

S.I
