This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Matthew Hooton to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Matthew Hooton

Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,

Under the OIA, could I please have all written advice prepared by DPMC over the last ten years for ministers and other government agencies on the question of a new Medical School at the University of Waikato, including arguments made for and against.

This includes any brief notes, talking points etc prepared for prime ministers ahead of Cabinet meetings, Cabinet committee meetings, and other meetings with ministers, officials and other stakeholders.

Yours sincerely

Matthew Hooton

From: Matthew Hooton

Dear Hannah James [DPMC],

Thank you for your reply. I doubt there can be a large amount of information held by DPMC that is covered by my request. While it covers a decade, the topic is narrow and one that is primarily the responsibility of other agencies. I am also sure DPMC has an electronic filing and search system, where each document is tagged with its topics, in this case “medical school” and “Waikato”. Could you please use such a system to establish how many documents may exist before considering if the section of the Act you mention might apply.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Matthew Hooton
