Under the OIA please detail the total number of press gallery members accompanying the PM on his trip to China and the corresponding numbers for each media organisation.

Please provide the total number of media inclusive of camera operators/support crew/other media.

Please provide total costs and expenses if any, incurred by the media on this trip. This should include any charges for flights even if nominal amounts, food/beverages provided to media, accomodations if any etc.

Please provide the details for each member of the accompanying company trade delegation. For example.. Greg Foran Air NZ.

Please provide the total cost of the non government employee, business component of the trade delegation. Accomodation/ food/fights etc.

Please provide details if an alternative travel option to the NZDF aircraft was investigated or discussed, such as commercial flights/charter aircraft etc.

Information Act 1982 request to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE)
from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) on 7 August
2023 requesting:

 

o Please provide the details for each member of the accompanying company

responding to you by 20 working days, to 2 October 2023. This is because
consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time frame
(section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA refers)

 

However, if this process is completed before 2 October 2023, the response
will be sent to you as soon as possible.

I am writing to update you on your OIA request to NZTE regarding
information on the PM’s trip to China.

We are currently working through your request and consultation is
required. We are therefore extending the time to make a decision on your
request from 4 September 2023 to 22 September 2023.

We will endeavour to respond to you sooner, with 22 September 2023 being
the latest date for a decision. This extension is made under section
15A(1)(b), as the consultations necessary to make a decision on the
request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within
the original time limit.
