On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I
acknowledge your email of 17 May 2023 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

‘Essential to the claims of punitive practices by immigration NZ of “Dawn
Raid” style immigration style checks.

I would like a request of the number of home visits for “Visa status”
checks or suspected “overstayers” between the hours of 5pm to 8am NZ
Auckland time from the last 12months (17th May 2022 to 17th May 2023) by
Immigration New Zealand.

Also please include if Police were present in the visits or not,’
