Could you please send me information regarding changes or attempted changes of registration or ownership for GKE818 during March 2023

I already did an OIA (OIA-12399) however in my letter I mistakenly put April instead of March, I am interested in changes around 23rd March which are not in the response I received.

I do not need any names.

All information since 2020 which Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency holds on
file in relation to registered person transactions for the 2012 Suzuki
Swift, registration plate GKE818 was provided to you within OIA-12399 (we
did not provide information for only one set time period). This
information has been provided to you in Attachment 2. I can confirm that
all transactions from 2023 will be listed in that document.

We sold the vehicle on 23rd March and got the confirmation in the email copied below.

The subsequent correspondence is all to do with reversing this sale.
Can you explain why you have no record of it?

I went to complete a vehicle purchase agreement from the Motor Web information page, but due to the change of ownership having been done already, it doesn’t recognise you as the current registered owner. Therefore it won’t let me print a preceding purchase agreement.

Please take this email as confirmation of the purchase from yourself by me of a 2012 Suzuki Swift Sport Registration GKE818, colour yellow for the sum of $9300.
Payment was made this afternoon into your nominated bank account & ownership has been changed online."

Also in a phone call Call ID: 36267721, 06/04/2023 11:46 AM we were advised orally that

"..the vehicle was taken into the Butler Company dealer network on 23rd March"
Notes on that phone call are
advised trader and dates of transactions ,advsed we recieved notice saying sale fell thr
and MR13C was reversed

Would like details of that sale please.

Please accept Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency’s apology, and for any
inconvenience caused. We have found another source of information from the
Motor Vehicle Register which shows all transactions, including those that
have been reversed (such as the Butler Motor Company Limited transaction
on 23 March 2023).

 

We have provided this transaction log to you, attached to this email.

 

Please note, your personal details have been withheld under section
9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act 1982, because this email is going
to a public facing forum.

 

Should you wish to receive this attachment, and other previous attachments
for OIA-12399 with your personal details showing, please provide us with a
personal email address.
