Charlotte made this Official Information request to The Treasury

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Charlotte to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Charlotte

Dear The Treasury,
Question number 1.
Please can you tell me the total amount that it has cost to change the name of every government department from english to maori language. Example ministry of health - te whata ora.
please include all spending for consultation fees during the name change process and how much it cost to change signange on buildings, changes to websites and forms etc.
No breakdown is necessary - just the total figure.
Question number 2.
Please can you advise whether there was any public consultation in the decision making to change all these names or whether this was just decided by the government?
thanks

Yours faithfully,

Charlotte

Dear Ministerial Services Inbox [TSY],
Hi, please can you pass this request on to another department within the government who can accurately answer my question. My question was for all government departments which have changed their name from english language to maori language. not just the treasury cost.
Please include the likes of the ministry of education, the ministry of justice, housing new zealand, ministry of health (every single department which is paid for by NZ tax payers) which has had their name changed (without public consultation)

Yours sincerely,

Charlotte
