Kia ora Shane,

Thank you for your response below clarifying the scope of your Official Information Act request to narrow your original request received on 24 March 2023. You have advised Customs you would like to request the following under the Official Information Act:

1) Joint Agency Implementation Reference for Advance Passenger Processing & Advance Passenger Information between Immigration NZ and New Zealand Customs Service

2) New Zealand Technical Operations Group Statement of Principles – New Zealand Police, New Zealand Customs Service, New Zealand Security Intelligence Service, New Zealand Defence Force and Government Security Communications Bureau

3) Information Sharing Agreement between the Ministry of Social Development and the New Zealand Customs Service: Direct Access Agreement under Section 4314 Customs and Excise Act 2018

Customs will progress your request.

Please note that any in relation to any amended or clarified requests, Section 15(1AA) and (1AB) of the OIA deal with ‘amended or clarified requests’. Where an amendment or clarification was sought by an agency within seven working days after receiving the original request, the amended or clarified request can be treated as a new request which replaces the original one. This voids the agency’s obligation to respond to the original request, and re-starts the statutory time limit for responding to the new one.
