Netsafe will consider and respond to your request in accordance with the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) and Netsafe’s Privacy and
Information Statement. The Act requires a decision on the request as soon
as reasonably practicable and in any case within 20 working days after
receiving the request, making November 28, 2022 the latest date for our
response to you, unless an extension is required.
Please note that Netsafe may charge for access to information under the
Official Information Act 1982 in accordance with the Ministry of Justice's

The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our
decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we
received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that
time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of
the time to make our decision to December 8, 2022.
An extension is required as this request necessitates a search through a
large volume of information and further consultations to make a decision
on the request are necessary.
You have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman about the
extension under section 28(3) of the OIA.

Netsafe has considered your request in accordance with the Official
Information Act 1982 and Netsafe’s Privacy and Information Statement.
Netsafe has decided to release information to you that is in scope of your
request. Some information will be withheld to protect the privacy of
natural persons under section 9(2)(a) of that Act. In addition, email
addresses for Meta will be withheld under section 9(2)(ba) of the OIA on
the basis that they are email addresses that have been provided to Netsafe
in confidence and are not publicly available. You have the right
under [2]section 28(3) of the OIA to seek an investigation and review of
this decision.
We will release the information to you as soon as possible and expect to
do so within the next week.

Dear Netsafe,
1. A request for information was sent on 31 October 2022.
2. Netsafe used the provision of a time extension provided under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA).
3. Netsafe also specified the period of extension, as required under the OIA section 15A(4), for which the request would be completed, and a response provided. Netsafe stated on the 8 December 2022: "We will release the information to you as soon as possible and expect to do so within the next week. "
4. Within the next week could be interpreted as between the following dates:
a. 12 December to 18 December - the calendar week immediately following the request and including the next business week, or,
b. 9 December to 15 December - the seven days immediately following the request and including a business week.
5. This reply is being sent as of 20 December 2022, Netsafe's specified period of extension, in any of the above interpretations, has now been exceeded. Can you please advise on the hold up of this request?

Given that in the document you previously released you cited an article about Chantelle Bakers removal from Facebook and referenced the subject of the article, Chantelle Baker, as the individual who was the subject of your report to Meta (Facebook), it has become very clear that the subject of the email between Netsafe and Meta is Chantelle Baker and pertains to her business Facebook page.
3. Further to this request, and because you have revealed the identity of Chantelle Baker and her media company in your response, I would like to request all communications, investigation notes, and reports that the contain either, or both, of the following URLs:
